Garry started his musical life in the school orchestra when he was 10 yrs old,he played percussion and got a standing ovation after his first concert-this he liked and quit soon after... He got his first guitar when he was 11 and left it outside where it was 'weather damaged' so he asked for an electric one which he got soon after. He joined his first band shortly after but it went nowhere. Later he joined up with some friends who formed a band heavily influenced by the Sex Pistols, this band later featured on a Crass records compilation which stayed at no.1 in the UK Indie charts for a few weeks. After this band split he formed a band that played 'Alternative' music which soon developed into 'Acid Rose' when Garry brought out his Psychedelic influences. Later, after an appearance on local TV they split up. Garry decided to go wandering about for a bit before being taken over by the UK Rave explosion - this was agood time to buy some electronic gadgets and see if he could make them work. Bored with the 'hardcore' scene he got into the whole acid techno stuff but found some of it still lacking something. Today we find him with his gadgets working to a fashion and he's trying to merge all his influences into one sound that is hopefully more interesting than some. His music is always different every time you hear it,you might have missed something subtle on the first few listens so it is always a surprise...depending on your mood at the time also! Give him a listen with an open mind and ear-holes and any suggestions etc will be filed and given to the authorities in question.
By the way, Astral Violent is a name he'll be using for the time being but once he's mixed his CD it'll no doubt change to something completely different.
